OUR MISSION
We seek to be a thoroughly biblical church. We exist for the gathering and perfecting of the saints (WCF 25.3). Put another way, it is the aim of this church to provide a biblical, historical, confessional, presbyterian witness for those who live in north central Florida, and to call anybody God would give us to reformation faith in Jesus Christ.
OUR NAME
Reformation Faith calls attention to the instrument by which we are united to God in Christ. We want to magnify the Holy Spirit’s work in us. It is he who perfects our faith. The name also hearkens back to the people and moments in history, the European Reformation (1500s-1600s), where biblical faith was given clear definition against the confusion of this dark and sinful world.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Reformation Faith would seek to be a witness to the following:
- A biblical faith–We will testify to the truth God has given us centered on and guided by God’s Word in all of life.
- A historical faith–We will testify to the truth passed down to us and seek to share it by informing new generations what has been won.
- A confessional faith–We will testify to the truth expressed in our biblically faithful confessional standards (the Westminster Confession of Faith and its Catechisms).
- A presbyterian faith–We will testify to the truth in a way that is decent and in order, in union with fellow churches according to proper presbyterian polity.
OUR KEY COMMITMENTS
Reformation Faith will aim to fulfill the following commitments:
- To ordinary means of grace (Word and sacrament) ministry.
- To thorough and ongoing discipleship.
- To consistent evangelism and witness of Christ’s gospel.
- To support regular biblical expressions of love (diaconal ministry)
- To rely on God’s guidance, provision and protection through prayer.
